App Name: Hotspot Planet Developer (Data Controller): INNOAUS KOREA INC. Effective Date: July 6, 2026 Last Updated: August 12, 2026

1. Overview

INNOAUS KOREA INC. (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. Hotspot Planet (“the app”) helps you store Wi-Fi credentials safely on your device and connect quickly. We do not collect or transmit your Wi-Fi credentials (SSID, password, etc.) to any server.

The app handles two kinds of information:

  • Stored on your device only (not collected): the Wi-Fi credentials you enter and in-app tip (donation) records.
  • Actually collected (sent off the device): only the Firebase crash/analytics data described in Section 2.

2. Information the App Handles

2-1. Wi-Fi Credentials You Enter (On-Device Only — Not Collected)

Item Detail
Stored items SSID (network name), password, security type, WPA-Enterprise username/server name, memo, icon
Storage location Your device only — passwords and other secrets are kept in the iOS Keychain (or the app’s private secure storage on Android)
Server transmission None — never collected, sent to, or accessed by our servers

Note: Information shown by widgets (via App Group, etc.) does not include passwords or other secrets.

2-2. Location (Only to Read the Current Wi-Fi Name)

Operating systems require location permission to read the name (SSID) of the currently connected Wi-Fi network. We use location permission solely for this purpose. We do not collect, store, or transmit your real-time location (coordinates).

2-3. Camera (QR Code Scanning Only)

The camera is used only to scan Wi-Fi QR codes when adding a hotspot. Captured images are not stored or transmitted; only the Wi-Fi information read from the QR code is saved on your device.

2-4. Backup / Restore

If you choose to export a backup, the file is created in a location you specify on your device. ⚠️ Backup files may contain Wi-Fi passwords — please be careful when sharing them. You are responsible for managing your backup files.

2-5. Crash Reports & Analytics (Firebase)

To improve stability and usability, we use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics (Google LLC). The following may be sent to Firebase:

Collected Item Detail
Crash stack trace Error location and cause
Device model / OS version Device type and OS version
App version / build number Version info needed to reproduce errors
Usage events Usage statistics such as screen transitions
App-instance identifier A pseudonymous identifier used by Analytics (e.g., IDFV) — not linked to your name or email

This data is not used to identify you by name. Google’s privacy policy applies: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

2-6. In-App Purchases (Developer Support)

The app offers optional, consumable in-app purchases (voluntary tips). They do not unlock features or remove ads.

  • Payment processing: All payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never collect, store, or access your payment details (card numbers, etc.).
  • On-device only (not collected): Your support history (transaction identifiers, total amount, currency, support points) and an optional badge nickname (up to 2 characters) are stored only on your device.

2-7. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Wi-Fi credentials you enter (SSID, password, security type, username, server name, memo) — on-device only
  • Name, email address, phone number, or other identifying information
  • Real-time device location (coordinates)
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID)
  • Payment details for in-app purchases (handled by Apple/Google)

3. Purposes of Use

  • Connecting quickly to your saved Wi-Fi networks
  • Displaying the name of the currently connected network
  • Improving app stability and diagnosing errors (Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Analyzing de-identified usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)
  • Processing developer-support purchases and displaying the supporter badge

4. Retention & Deletion

  • Wi-Fi credentials are stored only on your device.
  • Deleting the app removes all app data on the device (saved list and secrets).
  • You can delete any backup files you created at any time.
  • Firebase crash/analytics data is retained according to Google’s retention settings and then deleted or aggregated.

5. Third Parties & International Transfers

We do not sell your personal information. The following third-party services are used and are governed by their own privacy policies:

Service Provider Purpose Privacy Policy
